Limited-Time Experiences

Updated over 4 weeks ago

Looking to build anticipation and urgency around your upcoming experience or event? With our Limited-Time Ticket Sales feature, you can schedule a specific window in which guests are allowed to purchase tickets—creating a natural sense of exclusivity and excitement.

Available on Host and Activate products

What it Does

Instead of making tickets immediately available upon publishing an event, you can now:

  • Schedule when ticket sales open and close

  • Display a countdown clock to build anticipation on your experience page

  • Prevent manual ticket activation, saving time and ensuring consistency

  • Create a sense of urgency to help boost conversions before ticket windows close

Set up Steps

When building an experience in the Activate or Host builder, follow these steps:

For Activate Events

  1. Navigate to the Tickets section of your event.

  2. Scroll down and enable the Limited-Time toggle.

  3. Select the date and time you want ticket sales to open and close.

    1. Time zone will automatically default to the experience’s location.

  4. Once the experience is published, it will appear on your site with a “Coming Soon” button and a live countdown to ticket availability, if 'open' date is in the future.

  5. When the scheduled time arrives, tickets will automatically become purchasable.

  6. After the closing date, the event will show “Ticket Sales Ended”, and bookings will no longer be allowed.

For Host-Led Experiences

  1. In the Experience Information section, turn on the limited-time availability setting.

  2. Set the start and end times for ticket sales.

  3. Guests will be able to see available dates and times, but they will only be able to book once the ticket window opens.

  4. When live, guests can choose from any available session within the scheduled time frame.

Tips for Success

  • Market the launch date in advance via email or social—“Tickets drop Friday at 9am!”

  • Use shorter sales windows to drive urgency and higher conversion rates.

  • Combine with a limited quantity of tickets for a “while supplies last” approach.

  • For partnership events (e.g., a guest chef, artist collaboration), use this to keep the experience feeling exclusive and time-bound.
